My favorite photographic subject is birds. I really love studying and photographing birds, they are wonderful creatures of God’s creation.
Birds are a real challenge to photograph, you never know when you will see one or where they will appear, they are very unpredictable. The secret is to be always prepared with your long telephoto lens.
We have an excellent garden with native flowering plant and shrubs and this is a great way to make the birds more accessible for photography.
The major part of this Bird Gallery represents sample images and a review of the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR telephoto lens, it is a wonderful lens. There are also a few images here from the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4D IF ED lens. The secret to getting nice images of birds is to get close up and use stealth, approach them very slowly and quietly with your long lens.
