I love Macro photography with the possibility of getting up so close to the subject matter. Macro and closeup images can capture what the eye does not normally see, hence they will have a greater impact to the viewer of the image. In the garden there is always a great range of subject matter to photograph, such as flowers, insects, buds, grass seeds. Sometimes I have also been able to capture closeup images of birds. Quite often I will use a flash for fill in lighting on the closeup images.
